Monthly Support Group for Women with ADHD
ADHD Support Group Overview
This is an ongoing monthly confidential support group for women-identified adults who are interested in connecting with others who share the experience of living with ADHD. Group space is offered for processing personal experiences and learning more about the diagnosis through monthly topics. Topics may include:
* Strategies for increasing sustained attention
* Capacity for self-compassion and acceptance towards your neurodivergence
* Quick organizational hacks to decrease vulnerability to burnout
* Myths and facts about ADHD in adults

Program Schedule and Locations
* LAST Wednesday of the Month from 7:00-8:30pm beginning Oct 30, 2024
* Meetings will be held ONLINE or in nature in downtown Frederick as weather permits
* Virtual links and meeting details will be provided to registered group members only​

Eligibility & Requirements
Prior to registration, group members will need to:
* Be women / female identified
* Have an ADHD / ADD diagnosis
* Be able to tolerate emotional expression in a group setting

Your Facilitator
Heather Smith, LCPC, is a seasoned psychotherapist with a specialty in ADHD management. She is trained in holistic, trauma-focused and nature-informed treatment and works with a wide range of mental health challenges among teens and adults. She provides individual and relationship counseling and is proud to offer this group in support of a growing number of women who are struggling to manage societal and family demands with personal needs and the nuances of a neurodivergent brain. Support Group Costs
Group participation may be covered in part or in full with Carefirst/BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHeathcare insurance plans. Cost for covered group members is subject to deductibles and co-payments. Out-of-network group members are asked to pay $20 per session.
