Grass Roots Affordable Clinic and Education (GRACE) Initiative
Outdoor Therapeutics is proud to offer reduced fee counseling services and community-based mental health education to adolescents and adults, ages 14+ who may be uninsured, under-insured, or who are in need of immediate self-pay services in order to bypass insurance-based waitlists across the county.

The GRACE Initiative is made possible because of our graduate counseling interns who are enrolled in local graduate programs and specially selected to complete their clinical residency with us. They receive ongoing professional development while on staff with us and work collaboratively with trauma-trained clinical supervisors in order to provide quality mental health services.

PRO BONO COUNSELING PARTNER
Outdoor Therapeutics is a proud volunteer with Pro Bono Counseling (PBC), a Maryland-based non-profit dedicated to providing free mental health counseling across the state. As a PBC partner, we receive a limited number of client referrals each year that we agree to treat free of charge. If you or someone you know could benefit from therapy but are experiencing financial hardship, consider reaching out to PBC at the website below to be matched with a mental health provider for free:
COUNSELING SERVICES
The GRACE Initiative currently offers individual and group counseling for youth and adults (age 14+) struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, OCD, personality disorders and complex and acute trauma. Interns use a variety of psychotherapy techniques and also work with clients using Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) and Nature-Informed Therapy (NIT) approaches. Information about intern-facilitated therapy groups can be found on our Calendar page.
REDUCED RATES
Clients pay $50 for a 55-min individual counseling session. Prices are reduced for shorter sessions. A limited number of pro bono (free) counseling appointments are also offered to those in financial need. The GRACE Initiative does not take insurance.
